I started out in Michigan, got a degree in architecture at Auburn University in Alabama, went straight from there to Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island where I was commissioned as an Officer in the US Navy. After a few more months of training in California I was stationed in the great Pacific Northwest between two bases for nearly 5 years. In the last year I have felt a renewed inspiration to better myself physically. I have always been active but now I desire to push myself to see what my body is capable of. Along with many running and crossfit goals I have set for myself, I have discovered how what I put into my body affects how it performs. As a result, I am on a mission to create delicious food that satisfies both the foodie and athlete inside me!
